Since January 2013, I have been working with an interdisciplinary design team at Stanford’s d.school (Design School) on the broad question of how to make the experience of giving to charity better for Muslims in America. We’re using the name The Muslim Giving Project while we are in the design process, before we decide on a specific design.
We have been going through the design process — needs finding, empathizing, brainstorming, prototyping, and evaluating — to figure out what real needs in the Muslim community are, and how we could improve the experience, satisfy our users needs, and build meaning into the situations.
